I don't mind being DQ'd, but I'm just really curious about this problem...

Tis cool - I won't spam the thread with it~ If someones does miraculously work, lemme know so I can try pinpoint what happened (I actually made a dropbox account JUST for this contest, so this was my first upload)

I know i'm DQ'd, but can someone as some point try this link instead and see if they get access to the game.exe?

I have a zip folder and an unzipped folder so maybe the link I gave before more corrupted? I have no clue.

I just wanna see if this works instead - I don't expect it to me re-entered!

That link shows all the files...

Since all that's missing are built in MV files putting those into it might work.

It's nothing special though. Right now, it's more the principal of it not working even though the files are there (atleast to me it's the principal)

Sorry to say this Takeo, but I just downloaded and it runs the game, but nothing shows up. Complete black screen.

 

EDIT: Also, is it OK if I continue the project and publish it on another website?

It seems I've got a fix...

 

 

I don't know the exact issue though, but I think it's a plugin or something missing that causes a blank screen alongside the missing audio files.

Copied another game into a new folder then replaced (without deleting) the www folder with the one Takeo provided, then went to the audio folder and deleted the bgm and bgs folders. Then I copied the bgm and bgs from Takeo's second www folder and started the game.

I need to take notes so when an official demo is released, I don't have this problem again D:

 

I genuinely only used 4 BGM's and the RTP SE's so I am surprised the audio is being the butt.

Thank you for confirming the problem is fixable. I may have to look for a new site to host my downloads, dropbox seems... untrustworthy for me if it's corrupting/missing files it definitely contains :/

I'm re-exported the entire project (last time - if this doesn't work, it doesn't work).

I've made a desktop export to download and play and a browser edition to play online (though, i think the browser one lags and takes longer to load maps - even if they are small).

If this works, then yay! If it doesn't, the project isn't worth the effort in fixing it just now, so I'll just leave it for now haha.

If neither of these work, the Marsigne has my permission to redistribute this project since I seem to fail are doing so.

My main concern is I wish to release a full demo within a few weeks, so I'd like to know how to fix this problem before I try posting an actual demo link :|

Both work perfectly Nice project by the way, UI and faceset looks really nice There are a few bugs but I don't think it'd be appropiate to list them here, but if you need help in testing, feel free to PM me and I'll report the bugs I find.

Downloading the last game I need to judge now. Would have been nice to see a few more give following the theme a go, but I suppose the contest is hard enough in its own right.

That being said, I don't need to know your scores or anything, but I'd appreciate it if you guys would drop me a PM detailing any criticisms/thoughts you had on the project. I'm looking to expand on it and make it bigger (or should I say, make it more how I originally envisioned it), but having more than one person play through it and tell me what they liked or disliked would help me immensely when judging what to keep, what to add, what to focus on, etc.
