A revelation is basically unknown facts coming to light, usually in a really dramatic manner. Biblically, a revelation was the vision God gave to a man who called himself John, detailing the events of the apocalypse.

 

So pick your poison. And try to incorporate that somehow.

As for your resources, anything made before the contest is fair game, you can use any of it since you obviously have your own permission.

However, if you make the resources with the intention to use it for your game that will be submitted for this contest, you cannot use it. Anything that you make solely for your contest game before the contest starts is not allowed. You would be effectively be "working" on your game for more than a week.

 

Sure, you can say you intended to use it for another game, and this just happened to come by. If that's the truth, okay.

 

But if you started to make things after this topic was posted and before the contest starts with the intention of using it in your contest game later... Well, we can't stop you. Nor can we read your intentions and know the truth. But keep in mind that you'll be cheating.

Again, if you already had the resource made before IIAW was even announced, it is allowed. But if you made it with the intention of using it for your IIAW game later, that's not allowed.

Yes, Steam DLC is allowed. Even if you had bought it before the contest began, it wouldn't count as "making" resources since it's already there.

I created a character the day of the contest for another game, a spin-off to Crystals of Elements. But then I decided that character fits this game and it kinda makes sense with this theme.

TL;DR: This character doesn't fit with Crystals of Elements' spin-off at all. So I thought I could use it in my IiaW project.

Quick question regarding music;

Can you use covers and remixes from youtube if the artist/composer gives permission to use their audio? Even if it's a cover/remix of a copyrighted/ost song?

I doubt I would use them anyway, but this atleast gives light to the usage for others.
