PSA: If you haven't uploaded at least a demo of your entry by now, think about wrapping up what you've got and uploading it.

A rubbish demo is better than no entry at all :)

You can become a judge anytime before game making ends.

Great. I wanna become a judge too. I'll upload at 3pm and a half. It will take a bit more than I expected. By 4pm and a half, the link should be here.

Well, guys, here I am again.....WITH A LENGTHY INTRO.

I dubbed it Project Advent. Get it here >linkylink<

I got stuck trying out stuff. In the end, what I acquired from this was a concept. One that I'll probably be using to make a full game. So yeah, have fun playing the interactive movie!

P.S. I even forgot to make a title screen XD

For those running out of time, play this:

EDIT: Links below. They are direct links, so when you click them, it instantly downloads the rar file containing the very short demo.

FINALLY!
Well, I butchered up the whole story and tore the fourth wall to pieces, but here it is: Heroes of the Prophecy!
It's only about 10 minutes, but still, enjoy~ XD
https://www.dropbox.com/s/u556kt3jte978oo/Heroes%20of%20the%20Prophecy.rar?dl=0

Engine used: RPG Maker MV

Known Bugs:

1. Bosses are easier than I thought because I have not enough time to balance them.

2. Shadow Step doesn't have a cost. Error on my part.

3. Some skill names might clip the cost. Again, an oversight.

4. The cheery girl narrates the whole story, including spoilers, when she was meant to be a mysterious, secretive character.

Ooh, there seems to be a lot of entries this time around! IIAW 4 is a success!

Not for me, sadly. I failed to do anything. :P (I'll go cry in a corner now)
So... have this instead.

ERIC IN THE SEA!

http://www.mediafire.com/download/ba84gm2qece5l6a/ERIC_IN_THE_SEA.exe

EDIT: I forgot to mention that you need to have the VXAce RTP installed to play this! (It is pure RTP ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))

Best game. I did it in a few hours just now. XD

Yeah, that's my entry. Just for the sake of having one. Sorry guys I have failed you yet again :(

Anyways, good luck to everyone! For those who haven't submitted your games yet, upload it and post the links ASAP.

I'll be playing all of those soon. :D

Note: I ran out of likes for today, apparently. :(

So let is be known that this project ended up being really massive. In fact, too large to actually complete in its entirety.

I haven't done any monster balancing yet, so the game is going to be SUPER easy, when I intended for it to be rather difficult to beat.

I also cut out an entire area and my favorite boss concept because even though it's relevant to the lore of this world, it's not relevant to the ongoing story.

I also cut out two party members, a few more neat side quests, and there's only one track playing on loop for the entire game because I couldn't put up more tracks in time.

The game is also missing most of the battle backs because I also didn't have time to put those up.

I also cut out quite a few more things, but considering this is my first ever project, I shouldn't have let it grow so big to begin with, so shame on me.

That being said, there's two endings that reveal more about the story individually. One ending is attained by exhausting the dialogue completely of one of the NPCs, I won't say which one. The other ending is attained by playing it normally.

I plan to expand on this project, and make it big. Like, reaaaaaally big. That area I cut out? Well, I'm going to make more just like it, and now I have a game file that I have over 60 hours put onto to do so.

That being said, pretty much the entire game is RTP. I didn't want to spend time making custom stuff (and I'm bad at that anyways). It was a good decision in the end, considering how much I had to do, and how much I still have to get done. Maybe in future iterations, this project will look better, with custom text boxes, sprites, and other cool artsy stuff, but today is the day you see the project in its most raw form.

That being said, it's still a piece of shit compared to how I wanted it to be, but this is the best I'm going to get it in. Enjoy.

AND HERE IT IS!

MY EXTREMELY SILLY GAME!! =3

This game contains ONLY my stuff - 99.7%* RTP/Internet-Available-Resources FREE! Challenge Completed! :D

* There's a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny part of Super Mario Bros' music used for like 2 seconds as a sort of a reference~ You'll see

As I said - I even attempted to make music ~ and though I have absolutely no experience in this ~ after some time I've managed to compose random stuff.

This game may be bugged or stuff may be weird ~ that's because I've made all of this within a week, so don't expect anything mind-blowing.

Most of the time went into programming and making resources, so sadly I didn't manage to make longer gameplay. I hope this will be enough though.

Quick notes:

- This game may run terrible ~ I'm curious how RM will handle all of this on various PC's, so please notify me about the performance you got.

There's a chance, that I'll just abandon ship if it really will be terrible. Multiplayer is even heavier to handle due to double amount of maths.

- Controls are placeholders - I'll make an in-game configuration for these.

The default keys are heavily inconvenient ~

        SP => Arrow keys / Z / X

        MP => P1: Arrows / , / .

                   P2: WSAD / Q / E

- Before anybody will yell ~ you CAN SKIP the intro by pressing ENTER.

- This game currently doesn't handle GAME OVER stuff, because I want to implement lives, so stuff will be added later

If you die ~ you have to press F12 or just close the game. (Unprofessional, I know)

- Boxes DON'T give items. It's not a bug ~ that feature isn't just implemented yet.

We made the most successful season of Indie in a Week! Woooooo!!! XD

Also, just going to say that this challenge has been a great help to many of us here, since among other things, it helped us create new game concepts that we can make flourish even further as more full-fledged project! We can also find inspiration and lessons from others' projects, as well as practicing quick-making with RM. Oh, and of course, having fun as Chronos and Thanatos chase us for s e v e n  d a y s ! XD

Oh by the way, I hate to burst your bubble but we have 40 minutes left!

Gogogogogo~
