This game was made for Indie In A Week, however wasn't finished in time.
Instead, I plan to work on this in my spare time and continue development.
​All assets are subject to change, so please bare with me.

What is this game about?


The Kingdom is under threat of a group of bandits plotting at attack on the Kingdom.
During this struggle, a group of goblin fiends have made there way onto the Kindgoms territory and also pose a threat to the people.
What can the Kingdom do against such assault?
And more importantly, where does a single Royal Guard's loyalty stand?

Kioshi is a quiet, yet blunt individual. He keeps to himself and shows a lack of emotion.
His rank within the Royal Guard makes him a well looked upto role model - much to his dismay.
Him and Tamao are close friends...

Tamao is a caring and sincere individual, as well as extremely shy. She always trys her best to help others out, but can sometimes be gullible and careless.
She helps out with the first aid within the Kingdom, and practices magic whenever she can.

Update;-

Umm, yea...

 

Due to some "depressional" stuff that's happened this week, I kinda went and deleted all the maps for this game and decided It would be smart to redo the mapping because I hated life.

So yea, this kinda got put back alot because now I lost the castle interiors and other maps I had made and evented on.

 

I apologize for my stupidity...

 

I intend to still work on this project, but for now - I need to remap and event everything.

 

Sorry guys, I'll try get this project back on track asap.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling down.

If you don't want to start from scratch anymore you could possibly try downloading what you entered into IiaW and seeing if anything is salvageable. There were missing files ofc, but if MV is any like Ace then it would just be a matter of moving things between folders.

 

Hope you're feeling more appropriately awesome soon. I'd like to play this one of these days :3

Haha, sorry, never meant to have this thread sound like a pity party on my behalf.

Yea, I still wanna work on this project, so it's back to the old GIMP drawing board!

 

To be honest, my older maps were heavy based on google image stuff - such as the castle interior (since it was a week deadline and I suck at big interiors, I used references) so now I can kinda sit back and take time to make something more creative.

 

I'll update the screenshots once I have new maps, but for now everything else in this topic on on subject. Though, I might go back and re-write alot of the summary stuff xD (that awful summary doe)

 

Once I get a demo running, I'll appreciate any and all testers! Especially grammar related...

To be honest ~ I'm using references by myself. =P Most of the time I have to check how similar things were made in order to get some inspiration. =P

Since this is a MV game, if you export it to Mac, I can definitely test through the game and fix up any grammar mistakes if you need it.

Imma a bit late but you could load the entire game file to a previous version of the file. It will load back all the files during whatever version you picked.

Since this is a MV game, if you export it to Mac, I can definitely test through the game and fix up any grammar mistakes if you need it.

I could try, but I already had problems exporting to standard PC let alone to MAC :/

Once I get more familiar with properly sharing the game without problems, I'll export for MAC users too :3 the more the merrier~

 

 

Imma a bit late but you could load the entire game file to a previous version of the file. It will load back all the files during whatever version you picked.

I actually took this chance to tidy up the maps. I got my older files and such, but now the maps looks a bit better now that I could spend more time on them :)

The Castle is essentially the exact same design, just remastered with better tiles and placement.

 

I've currently got a Castle, small "route" area and a WIP village. Once I get the maps finished and the intro sequence done properly (none of this awful grammar nonsense) I'll have a demo up to get some feedback whilst I continue working :)

 

Also, nice to see you around again Vectra ^^ Haven't seen you alot lately~

I've been working on my project lately. I've been balancing the database for a while now. I'm getting close to getting everything right so that's good.

 

It's good to know you're feeling better. If you need any help, you can also PM me. My phone sends me an email everytime a notification pops up. So I'll be offline but not really offline.

Update;

- Updated the screenshots to match the current build. Nothing special, but I felt dumb having outdated screenshots.

- Will update more next week once I have a decent intro with more than a small cutscene~

 

 

 

Sorry for the lack of content on this. Since I now have more time to work on it, I've went and sort revamped alot of stuff which is why this project went quiet.

Also, trying to make enemies and a battle HUD is tough...

Looking good. On that last screeny maybe you should add an outline to the roof tiles or darken the tile slightly; I was a little confused looking in the bottom left corner because I mistook it as all floor at first.

 

Also, props for such a well organised credits section :lol:

Oh, I see what you mean about the floor roof. It's actually noticable in game so it shouldn't be to big a problem in game ^^

Also, I may be changing the floor tile anyway. The tiles themself are pretty dark, but the floor is pretty... un-special. There's carpet through out the castle, but I'm not 100% sur eon the floor tiling.

 

To be honest, when I look at game credits I get kinda annoyed when they're sort of just tossed in. It's easier to keep track of, and find certain things when it's organised ^^ plus, it gives a proper crediting to the contributor~

I actually have more plugins to add to that credits list, but for now I need to actually find out what's staying in the project and what's being removed so updating the plugins list just now it pointless. When a demo is released, I'll update the credits list accordingly :)

 

I'll go see what I can do about the tiles though. My current enemy is decent looking house exteriors ;-;

Update;

 

Projects not dead guys! Just, I'm a horrible developer haha~

Change Log;

 

 

- Updated all maps. There is now a village and forest to explore.

- Battle re-balancing. Everything is slowly being balanced gradually instead of all being tossed together. Yay!

- Graphical update. I'm using RTP, but I'm trying to change it up so it isn't exactly default. Some custom content too though~

- Music has been added to all areas that I think goes nicely.

- General base of game is there now, just some eventing to do and a demo might be released this weekend.

- Some custom artwork is a WIP, so hopefully the title screen will be updated soon with better artwork~

 

Still To Come:

- Choice branches will be added. Not everything is choice based, but some decisions will be.

- Side quests. Yep, we all love them.

- Custom artwork.

- other stuff that isn't note worthy or a surprise~

 

 

 

There are some graphical bugs just now, but nothing I'm really worrying about just yet. No known game breakers yet, so we'll see how long that lasts!

 

Anyway, just a quick update to show this isn't dead~
