I'm working on a fangame and I'm wondering if the style of the two portraits wouldn't seem too contrasting with each other.
EDIT: Updated Graphic

I was obviously working on Mark on a bigger resolution and crack-drew Cry's portrait. Does it seem out of place or shall I try refining Cry's to the same level as Mark's? It took me ages to draw Markimoo. :))

Cry's portrait looks alot "messier" in colour in comparison to Mark's portrait. Even the outline is alot thicker.

The style does look similar, but I think Cry's may have to be a little tidier in order to match them. I wouldn't say redraw it, but maybe try tidy up the black outlines and try blending the colours a bit more. Maybe outline his mask a little as the white sitting against his face just doesn't seem to look right.

I think the contrast is different because Mark's portrait is light in colour but Cry's is darker so his "mistakes" stick out more - especially when they're side-by-side.

This os of course my own opinion, but just tossing it in. They look good overall ^-^

EDIT

I've noticed as well. Mark's lineart is alot thinner and you used darker tones of a colour to outline various parts, such as his neck, but you make Cry's outline a thick black for everything. I suggest maybe either redo Cry's lineart, or make Mark's a black outline just for matching sake.

So far, they look like they are drawn by different people.

First of all - they look soooo good! Great work with these!

Yeah I agree that their styles are clashing.

> Mark's face is much brighter than Cry

> Cry's face has more shading than Mark

> They indeed look like they were drawn by different people

But generally they are really well done, but they just don't match.

Great work and good luck!

So I think I made these look more similar:

Also edited the main post to replace the old graphic with the new one.
