RM VXA has an auto-shadow so I'm wondering, do you guys take it off, do different shadows or just keep it as is? In all my maps, I didn't bother to change it, but how do you guys feel bout the auto-shadow?

I take mine off because I parallax and it's a real pain to work with them in Photoshop XD

If I am making a standard tile game, I normally use it just to create some shade instead of bland lighting, however lately I've been parallaxing my lighting so I don't use it to often nowadays (I actually use a plugin for MV that auto-removes them).

 

I don't think there bad though, and when used creatively they are actually pretty good :) So I half and half use them~

I take them out when parallax mapping, but sometimes the maker likes to sneak them back in afterwards  :mellow: If that happens, it never looks incredibly BAD, so I hardly bother. I've seen games that use nothing but the shadow, and it's fine to me. As long as things aren't overshadowed, I guess?

Edit it one by one.

Because I'm so grateful they add this feature on ace since vx requiring a script for it which is more annoying.
