I'm abandoning the challenge on mine and Cookie Ninja's behalf.

I don't want to sound like I'm shifting blame, but Cookie Ninja is gone right now. My teammate hasn't responded to me since the second day of the challenge, and we haven't produced anything substantial as a team. Our original idea isn't going to survive at this rate, and I don't want to start working on a revision to our plan without forming a consensus between us.

So I'm going to clear my conscience and dissolve our efforts. I won't be participating anymore.

Sorry Cookie, for whenever you read this. I hope nothing bad happened to you, and that you aren't upset at me for giving up. We were off to such a great start, but our game plan is pretty much doomed.

That being said, I am giving an extension - the contest will go up until August 4, at 2:00 PM EST.

 

For Blindga, specifically, if you still don't think you can make anything (remember, we don't expect a completely finished product!), then it's fine to drop it here, but if four days gives you just the right amount of time you might need (and hopefully Cookie shows up), then we'll still be accepting your entry~

 

Same goes for Tarq and Takeo, or anyone really about dropping out.

No, I definitely missed it if I never replied. Sorry for the long reply, and I should've clarified this in the opening post, but for this iteration of the contest, Host Two and myself decided we'll do the judging ourselves. The most likely thing is that we'll probably play them and then discuss them and decide our final scores that way, and it's easier to do this with two people, especially if those two people were the ones who made the criteria (considering how subjective half of the categories are).

 

Perhaps in the future, we'll accept judges, depending on how we like this process - it's also likely we'll update the criteria in future contests.

I think the "people who made the contest are the only judges" is actually pretty fair. It means theres no biase and you have a solid decision instead of many.

 

I look forward to the outcome of this challenge actually.

The game is not very long, once you make it to "Elite Inc" that's the end lol ( you can explore further and find a little something)

Where this version ends is technically when the game was going to start getting interesting, unfortunately, I was lazy and busy lol

Where is the variety of music? There is none

Right, it's done, I wanted to add more and there may be bugs, but it's done (I even showed Yuu some proof)

Also some notes:

• If you can't find the key in the town, look in this spoiler tag! 
  

• If you can't beat the final boss, look in your items menu during the fight, "Eric's Axe" will insta-win the fight if it's too hard!
• Grinding is okay if you struggle with something!
• You can attack during the tutorial battle, and will never kill it, so use it to practice fighting
• You have a whole team, remember to switch it up from time to time!
• A game breaking bug prevents you from exiting the sewer, to fix, paste THIS in the data folder in the WWW folder to replace the broken one! If not used before entering the sewers/only save file is in the sewers and not before, you'll have to start again ;w;

There was a thing I was working on (and im sure it was supposed to have some kind of teamwork) but I stopped working on it as much (Personal Reasonsâ„¢) and suddenly you're off making your own game, which is probably miles better than mine. (well duh cos I cant make anything decent with RM)

 

Anyways, i'm not here to start a fight, just shamelessly plug the "game" which I kinda half-made.

A few things are broken, and I probably forgot to turn transparent on start back on again, but who cares.

Don't expect much.
