Wanting to implement this quest system for my game, but I'm dumb as a box of rocks.

That's the quest system that I'd like to use as it seems like it would fit my game. However, I'm not really sure about scripting at all, and looking at the demo doesn't help because I get an error when I try to play it... :/

 

My first question is what quest system should I use if this one isn't adequate enough?

 

Secondly, how much scripting experience would I need to get it working in my game? Would I be able to just copy and paste an example of a quest and fine tune it to my needs?

 

The demo in that quest system has just one quest idea which is gathering a bunch of one item. What if I wanted to have the player slay a certain number of monsters, for instance?

 

I hope I'm not asking too many questions, but I do hope I was clear in what I want. Sorry for my ignorance on this subject, but I really want a quest system where players read a quest board and go to the place where the person offering the quest is to accept it.

I don't about that quest system but I used Gameus' and works very nicely. http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/49234-gameus-quest-system/

 

As for your second question, yes, at least about Gameus (more or less yes). If you look at the demo and the script calls and the instructions in the JS file you'll see it's very easy to use.
