If you've played or watched somebody play Will You Press The Button?, you know how the game works. You are presented with a scenario and something to balance out things (the scenario is goo, but the "something" is bad or vice versa).

EXAMPLES:

If you press the button, you can have a cake, but it will blow up the entire city of Detroit.

If you press the button, you will endure every form of suffering known to mankind and cannot die, but there will be world peace.

(For some reason, this didn't get into the original post?!?!) In this game, you will answer with either "yes" or "no". You can give your reasons, but you don't have to. After you give your answer and optional reason as to why you answered with what you did, give your own button for somebody else to push or not push.

I'll start with the first button.

If you press the button, you will get a Death Note, but the first name you must write is your best friend.

yeah, that seems like it would be cool and all for a while, but if the world ends, you'd be left to eternal silence in a universe of solitary. or you could possibly be captured and tortured, for hundreds of years. no thanks, i think i'm good with just dying. kek

if you press the button you get a free wish, any wish you can imagine. but a close family member dies. (can't wish for more wishes, or for a way to bring the family member back to life)

I'd press it. If we're assuming gods exist in this instance then we can go the other end of the spectrum and assume that the multiverse exists also. And then I'll be powerful enough to conquer them all!

If you press the button, you get a robotic arm and all the awesomeness that entails BUT most of humanity and a good many toasters consider you a half-breed and refuse to play nice with you.

Nope. I don't need a robotic arm.

If you press the button, you can buy any game or in-app purchase for free, but you'll hear an annoying dog bark 24 hours a day.

If you press the button, you will be immediately transported into a game where you'll have awesome adventures forever BUT you'll sacrifice your autonomy to whoever picks up the controller.

Hahah hell no.

Going along the same lines...

If you press the button, you will be able to become an anime character of your choosing, but you'll sacrifice your autonomy to the plot. (Despite you being the character you don't have control, you will just do exactly what happens in the anime.)

No no nooo!

If you press the button, you get to rewrite the story of any fictional character you want, but the rest of the story will change according to that and you have no control over anything else that happens there.

If you press the button, you get to be a ninja, but your home is turned into a pile of Harry Potter books.

Sorry, random stranger. Saeryn decided your life was worth less than a puppy.  :P

Absolutely not. Harry Potter anything is a NO.

If you push the button, a genie appears that grants you one wish, but you are never able to press the button again. (or in anyway wish to press it or more buttons or wishes. Doing any of those creates a zombie apocalypse cuz reasons. Unless your true goal was to cause a zombie apocalypse. Then you simply cease to exist.)

Yes. Then I use my one wish to get Zuko.

If you press the button, you can sing better than anyone else on the planet, but you lose the ability to play any instrument that isn't your voice.

Nah, I like to annoy people with my harmonica and singing isn't a good substitute for that.

If you press the button, then you become the galactic Emperor/Empress of the Milky Way, but you'll die a horrible death in 10 years which you will fall outside your spaceship after earth blows up and detach from the spaceship because you were clumsy and wander spaced until you run out of oxygen in your suit. Hihi.

I'll push it. I'd rather ten years of near-omnipotence to another forty+ of admin work followed by senility.

If you push the button you'll grow six inches BUT everyone else will too so the world remains much the same.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Press it!

With a press of the button, you instantly create a videogame exactly how you envision it, but become blind and deaf.

Yes, if I'm a magpie and a great hero simultaneously. Just cuz who'd think a magpie would be a great hero?

If you press the button, Zuko will appear in the flesh and marry you, but Barbie will cease to exist and be wiped from everyone's memory except yours.

(this one isn't targeted at anyone specific at all )

If you press the button, you will be sent to a fantasy land of your choosing, but you will never be able to return here. You must say goodbye to everyone and everything in this reality.
