Building a Free Library of Images for Everyone

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I've had some people ask me why I don't provide maps (like normal maps, roughness, ambient occlusion, etc.) with my texture images. The answer is:  I think it's better to let people generate their own maps from my images so they can make them (and, hence, their final materials) look exactly the way they want them to.

I've recently discovered a free tool called "Materialize" that does exactly that, and it works really well. Here's a link:

https://boundingboxsoftware.com/materialize/

That said, this week's brand new images are on these pages on my site:

BARK - Artistic - Tile-able

BRICK - Artistic - Tile-able

CONCRETE - Artistic - Tile-able

You can access them from here:

https://soundimage.org/images-home-page/

Enjoy!  🙂

You're very welcome...I hope it's helpful!   🙂

Happy Friday Everyone!

If you happen to find my free assets helpful, please consider making a small donation on my website to help support my efforts. My site is 100% ad-free...I pay for everything myself and contributions from the creative community really help a lot.

That said, you'll find this week's new free textures on these pages:

FUR/CARPET - Artistic - Tile-able

GROUND TEXTURES - Artistic - Tile-able

https://soundimage.org/images-home-page/

Enjoy, stay safe and keep being creative!  🙂

Hey Everyone,

Brand new seamless texture images are ready on these pages on my site:

METAL - Artistic - Tile-able
ROCK / STONE- Artistic - Tile-able

Game developers and other content creators keep asking me if they can use my assets in projects intended to make money...the answer is YES! 🙂 As long as you use my assets within projects and properly attribute me, it's fine. Here's a link to my attribution page:

https://soundimage.org/attribution-info/

What you CANNOT do is resell my assets outright or, say, make an original soundtrack from my music and sell that. That would be illegal. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

In the meantime, stay safe and keep being creative!

I have some brand new texture images to share...as always, they are 100% free to use with attribution.

Commercial usage is fine, too, so no worries.

You can download them from these pages:

WOOD - Artistic (Tile-able)

https://soundimage.org/images-home-page/

For those of you using my music and sounds, please don't forget about my Ogg music tracks and packs.  🙂

Have a good weekend!

Happy Saturday!

I don't "toot my whistle" very often, but I am very proud of this so I thought I'd share:

https://soundimage.org/praise-for-soundimage/

Btw, if anyone needs some custom assets created, just let me know...I love to help fellow creatives with their projects.

Have a great weekend!  🙂
