IWannaPenguin 1 Posted March 26, 2017 Set in the fictional world of Cascadia, LifeWeaveR is a near-complete (approx. 90%) fantasy RPG created with RPG Maker VX Ace. (Note that the final version may have logos that differ from what is shown here). A development blog is located at Lifeweaver.blogspot.com 19 year old Ami Maye is the games protagonist and lead character. An only child, Ami comes from the impoverished and isolated village of Vhespia. William DeGaulle of Sepious was forced to move in with his grandmother after his parents disappeared during a cruise. He first meets Ami while participating in the Terror Tower event, Tysessor is the Captain of the Guard for the King of Hirsheen. He initially seems rather "stiff" and distant, though this doesn't last very long. Despite the white hair, Pria Silvrose is still in her early 20's. She grew up in the Gildora Childrens Orphanage with her older sister Elyssius. Cecelia Streyrite is a skilled bow-hunter who meets Ami's party when they come to Gildora to visit the orphanage Pria grew up in. LifeWeaveR opens with 19 year old Ami Maye preparing to leave her little village of Vhespia and travel to the town of Sepious to take part in an annual event (known as Terror Tower) where competitors fight to be the first to retrieve the Golden Cross from the top floor of the tower and return to Sepious with it. After much criticism and scorn for being a female participant, Ami enters and wins the event but when she returns home she discovers Vhespia and all its inhabitants have been destroyed. Before dying, her father tells her that a rouge soldier named Vilogon (who was long thought to be dead) is responsible for the destruction of the village. With no one to turn to, Ami returns to Sepious to see Judith DeGaulle, the elderly woman who offered Ami free room and board at her house the previous night. After learning that Vilogon was once a soldier of the King of Hirsheen, she decides to go see him herself, but becomes greatly annoyed when Mrs. DeGaulle requests that her grandson William (whom had been yelled at and insulted by Ami inside Terror Tower) accompany her. Upon arrival, Ami and William learn the only passage to Hirsheen Castle has been ordered closed. The two bribe the guards and make their way to the castle only to discover that it also is guarded and closed. An attempt to sneak in through the back entrance fails and both of them are thrown in prison for breaking into the castle. After the King orders them brought before him, he is impressed with Ami's blunt honesty and releases them from custody after re-counting to them the events that let to Vilogon being exiled from the country. After accepting the offer to stay in one of the castles guest rooms, they become startled by loud screaming later that night and intervene, stopping three of Vilogons henchmen from harming the King. In gratitude, the King gives Ami a sailing ship and requests Captain Tysessor go with them as they search for Vilogon. In the city of Holvington, the three of them learn that Vilogon was after a magical artifact known as the Fate Glass Mirror, which has the ability to literally re-write destiny and fate to whatever the user wishes. The trio learn that to prevent him from obtaining the mirror, the Life Weaver (who is the only rightful user of the mirror) broke it into six pieces and scattered them. With more and more villages and towns being attacked by Vilogons men, Ami's party decides the best option for them is to find the pieces first, thus setting into motion their quest to collect all six pieces and stop Vilogon from controlling the fate of the entire world of Cascadia. *A five-member party set-up via Yanfly's Party System v1.08 *A "Universal" class of weapons and armor that gives greater freedom to outfit characters regardless of class. *The freedom to "Self-Sabotage" your quest.
