Ragnos 122 Posted April 12, 2017 (edited) Hey guys, been a long while since I've actually made a thread about anything, but I figured this would be an interesting idea. I've drawn an interesting picture today, and I thought it would be interesting to see the kind of story what the picture makes you think of. What story does this picture evoke in you? Tell us about it. (Sorry for the quality) :My story for this picture: No matter how far he walked. No matter where he went. He could not escape the gaze of that which set this curse upon him, it was always watching him, but no matter what the being set upon him it could not kill him, his strength and combat prowess could be considered that of a demon. Though considering what he had been through it was no surprise. The thing that set the curse upon him tormented his every dream, every night hoping to make him slip up during the next attack of monsters it would send after him. It might be able to kill him, but it could kill anyone that ever tries to get close to him... thus leaving the man wandering alone. Should he die the deity would be released, and humanity's extinction would begin. The man knew if he died so would humanity, but to live on would be the cost of torment and not being able to protect those that he cared for. One question was always constant: "Is it worth it?" lonequeso 1,921 Posted April 12, 2017 No one knows exactly how or way this mountain has this giant eye. There are stories. Many stories. Perhaps there's a kernel of truth in them or maybe they are mere fantasy. The eye just appeared there seemingly overnight many many years ago. The villagers sent researchers to examine it, and scouts to search the mountain range to see if they can find a source or who was responsible. The researchers were completely unsuccessful. They chalk it up to magic, but can offer no explanation of how or why the eye got there. The scouting party never came back. Nor did the second party sent to find them. Did the one's responsible for the eye kill them, or were they done in by predators or the weather. Stories range form them being eaten by a dragon to being frozen to death and buried in a blizzard. The eye never seemed to move, it's gaze always frozen in a single place. Over time, the people lost interest and went about their lives. Then one day, the eyes gaze shifted. It no has fixed it's gaze on an an ancient shrine. What could this mean? Spoiler Alert! Russian hackers. The end
Rezanta 373 Posted April 12, 2017 An eye that floated among the fears of people, the destruction of civilization. Yet, it never blinked at the wrong doing. Would it become a threat, a hope... Nobody truly could understand. However, a young mage once dared to travel to the eye's domain, plans focused on asking it for advice. Little did he understand what he was about to unleash. The mountains were a banishment circle focused on keeping the eye's true form sealed, but it had been gradually weakening over the course of the human's civilization. Will this mage release the most destructive force, become corrupted, or strengthen the seal? Who knows. He may have died before he reached the eye...
Ragnos 122 Posted April 13, 2017 (edited) No one knows exactly how or way this mountain has this giant eye. There are stories. Many stories... Hrm, interesting take. I never actually intended for the eye to look like it was inside the mountain, but in the air. I like this, very cool. ^.^ An eye that floated among the fears of people, the destruction of civilization. Yet, it never blinked... That would an interesting story to tell. Very nice, I'd like to see more stories. Going to be posting mine when I have time to do so. Edited April 13, 2017 by Ragnos
lonequeso 1,921 Posted April 13, 2017 If it's in the air, the story would be more like: A giant eyeball fell from the sky and crashed into a mountain village. There were no survivors. The End.

lianderson 122 Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) He sold tortillas on the corner, but the eye wanted in. Now, this Summer, he takes the fight to them. But seriously, I´ll give it a shot... hmmmmmmm... He was becoming his mother. Her dementia was now his. It had been 3 years, (or was it 4?) since Meryl forgot his son´s face. He reimagined something new every day, something ideal, something that looked like him, something he could be proud of. But deep down, he knew it wasn't true. He knew it was a lie despite his condition. His son was infected with the touch at birth. He was a grotesque child like all the others, but his son grew up with a kind heart, even had children of his own... but kind hearts meant nothing. All Meryl had now was begging for food and a false imagination. "Closer." a woman would call from a distance. "Closer, closer." He dismissed the voice at first, a voice he heard once or twice a year since he was a child, a strange anomaly that etched itself inside his mind. But now, it had grown stronger, more frequent. And the voice had become restless. "Closer, closer!" ...Months have now passed. Perhaps even years, perhaps even decades. Nothing is certain anymore, except that he´s closer, and the eye is how he imagines his son. Edited April 20, 2017 by lianderson
