Alright I'm super mad

Recommended Posts

So, i'm working on this game right? I've spent about 20 hours on it at least now.  Suddenly, there is this error message saying the System/RGSS301 cannot be found.  Ok, great.  I look it up online and it says to just copy it from another RPG maker VX Ace Game.  I go on the create new project folder and I get this message now saying I cannot create a new project.  I'm so confused with this...can anyone help?

Hmmmm... There should be a rgss301.dll in the same directory as the RPG maker program that it automatically copies over. This might happen if you have to deal with multiple versions of VX Ace?

@Kayzee I have an archived version of VX Ace, along with the one I have through Steam; I do not have this problem.

@GreatCobra I'd be checking your Anti-Malware and Anti-virus, make sure to put that dll file in as exceptions in all those programs, just in case. I'd also do the same with the .exe file for VX Ace. Yes, AMW and AV software can and often do false detections of perfectly safe software, and I know this to be true.

I'm glad you got this fixed. Kudos to Phoenix for the fix~

I've never had that problem with any of my RPGM's. Do you use the Steam or the Store Package one?

@GreatCobra You might want to report the bug; there's a good chance that Steam has some of the blame.

Of course, like I postulated before, make sure your anti-malware and anti-virus aren't the culprits either; make exceptions for the related .exe and .dll files.
