How to make a falling object that hurts the player?

I'm trying to make an object that falls from the sky and the player takes damage if hit. For example in Ib in Mary's sketchbook objects fall and might hit the player.

I found this link:

but the tutorial seems to be gone.

 

Here's what i tried, the player can only walk on the green part. I managed to get the rocks to fall and loop but The player doesnt get hurt when hit by the rocks, idk what I'm doing wrong. image.png.79cebc94a5c70006f16baa55895d508d.png

I tried that, but now the rocks can't move through the sky .

The sky is unpassable tile because the player shouldn't walk there. idk how to make it so that the rocks can pass through it but not the player:unsure:

for the rocks passibility, make a blank spot on your tileset passable. But not the first one in the top left corner.

Then make the area that the rocks fall with that blank tile.

Just set one more event on the path for the player so that they can't walk up that path.

the blank tiles works so the rocks can move.

But I still can't figure out how to prevent the player form walking on the rocks path, if i use an event on the side that is priority same as characters it blocks the rock as well as the player

Yea I guess the rock is still not allowed to pass through the event blocking the player. so forget that event, instead use another blank tile that only has passage setting for down and put it on that one spot.
