paid [Ace] Looking for Menu UI Scripter for future project.

Recommended Posts

Looking for someone that can help me with an old dream project, with creating a custom UI script to replicate one from an old Final Fantasy game. Never had help with it in all the years I've been on here and RM.net. Looking to recreate the menu UI of FF Mystic Quest. If someone out there is proficient with Ruby Scripting for Ace, please contact me.

This should not be a difficult task.

I'm a little busy right now but I can do this some time later.

This would be for the Menu not the battle?

One is much easier than the other.

I would have to play or watch FFMQ to remember what it all looks like.

Yeah, all I really need is the menu UI to replicate how it looks in FFMQ. I've seen some people replicate it on old YT videos.Yeah, all I really need is the menu UI to replicate how it looks in FFMQ. I've seen some people replicate it on old YT videos. Something like this.

Now that I see the full breath of what you want, it will take a bit more effort.

While it should be possible, since others have done it.

But that has several changes, not just the menu.

Menu interface

Item images

equipment shown on actor

Two actors always visible

custom status

Bestiary

Trophies

save

Each is a separate script on it's own. possibly several scripts.

I'll let you know as soon as I'm able to start.

I have different scripts that are already made. I don't care about trophies, save, item images, etc. Here's my script repository file as a zip, maybe it'll help with a lot of it.

I've collected a lot of different scripts over the years. So I had to upload it as a zip folder, as there's thousands. Though there are a lot of duplicates. I need to clean it out someday and get rid of the extra copies. There should be ones to fit the extras already in there, so it'd just be having to patch or make them compatible.

That is a lot of scripts yes, and you certainly could use some better organization for them.

Yeah, I've just been lazy about it since it would take a long time.

I had to take a little bit of time and go through your list. There are a few that I don't have. You must have been collecting scripts for a long time, because some of them are not anywhere on the internet anymore.

Oh yeah. It's been many years now. I've also had help from a few fellow RM users to get a hold of some scripts. I've got a lot of assets for VXA though, including free and paid.

It took some time, but I see at least one paid for script in your download.

You should have those separated so that others can't get them without paying for it.

Goes against the EULA. KUL

Your copy of Saba Kan's Dungeon Generator is corrupted like mine. But I just found the demo.

You also have several script that are duplicates.

Fullscreen has 7 copies. Just named differently.

Theoallen anit lag

You also have some VX scripts mixed in.

Ah. I forgot I had any plain VX scripts. I took the link down for now. What paid script is mixed in there?

I gave the initials above. KUL

Khas Ultra lighting

Not an issue for me, I'm pretty sure I have every Ace paid for script (because I bought them) Even all of Dekita. Fortunately for me he changed his terms so it cost a lot less than what is listed on his site. Simply pay him for 6 months in Pat-reon and you have a license.

Oh, Khas took away the paid thing for his scripts. He made them all free after awhile when he took them down off of Steam and other sites. You can't even get them anymore. The Ultra LIghting script at least. I grabbed his free copy of the MV version after he made them free to use.

Partly true. If you ask on the RPGMaker Forums you'll get the answer that he did not continue his option to sell on rpgmaker forums, so the links were removed, But for VX Ace and MV it is still a paid product. Yet he is not accepting payment for any of them anymore.

I have not seen ANYTHING where they were free for commercial. The MV version is available for free on non-commercial only. The VX Ace version can't be found anywhere except for those that purchased it before he left the forums.

If you look at his site - https://arcthunder.blogspot.com/p/scripts.html

The VX Ace version is not there. What you can get is Awesome light effects, which is his previous version to KUL.

Ah. I guess he still wants payment on the commercial side. But it's free for non-commercial use.

Except for KUL

Ah, either way I took it down. I'll just remove that for a future zip. Plus it's useless without the dll file, and the graphics.
