AVGB;KBGaming 1,425 Posted September 4, 2022 Highlight text, press one of the buttons and the text is unhighlighted as well as the desired changes ignored. Spoiler button: Takes many clicks to work. URL button: Have to paste the URL into the editor and then edit the text, otherwise, it does not work. Alignment: Forced left, other buttons do squat. Bold/Italic/etcetera: Requires keyboard shortcuts. Font color/size/type: works intermittently. Arrow that redirects to page top: Is resource intensive; should be toggle-able. Rikifive 3,459 Posted September 4, 2022 All of these issues have to be caused by your browser, as everything works normally for me. I just tested every single thing you've mentioned to be absolutely sure and yep, everything works as intended in the first tries. Is this something that happens to you all the time or only when the site experiences problems? 6 hours ago, PhoenixSoul said: Arrow that redirects to page top: Is resource intensive; should be toggle-able. That is something I actually plan to change among other things, but I'm waiting for the software update before doing any changes, because that update may ruin all the themes anyway, so there's little point in working on something that might break. Unfortunately I don't know when the update will be performed. Currently we're running on a very outdated version (there are 3.5 years of updates awaiting to be installed) and I've mailed the system admin about this a longer while ago, but seems like he's busy, so I'm unable to give any estimate date.

I can't say since the site seems to always be experiencing some sort of issue, but then again, I'm not on everyday, so... That said, I use Vivaldi, and I refuse to go back to Chrome, thank you no. Seems like then, there should be someone else that can do all this in the interim, because only having one full-control sysadmin, is a problem, and this is why sites go crashing and burning. So, yeah, THIS IS A PROBLEM!!! (unless the sysadmin is waiting for the site to crash and burn that is)

I am doing well with Opera, but it has it's glitches recently and is a bit of a memory hog. I'll look into that one. I really feel like this site needs to move to another host. The provider is obviously not worth the time to invest in continuously emailing him to return the site back to functioning status. A quick google search and there are others out there and some are free (although limited I'm sure), and methods to transfer everything is not hard to find either. No idea if the site owners would entertain this, but at this point (if it was me) I would have switched, due to the poor performance seen over the last year.
Remi-Chan 68 Posted September 9 (edited) Presently can't even post new threads in the games in progress board. Can't seem to embed videos, either. The former is usually error code 880 or something. While the latter is simply... This reductive horseshit which on top of being overly annoying, has the bonus effect of telling us nothing helpful whatsoever! The hosts of this website care even less about this place than the admins do. At least the admins try to fix shit when it occurs, often hampered by these two-piece garbage-meal bona-fide fuckups masquerading as website hosts. Forgive my flagrant language. I'm still using Vivaldi, but I've also recently experienced the duckduckgo browser. I'm very pleased with it.
Remi-Chan 68 Posted September 13 Ah, it appears video embedding has been fixed. Jolly good! And it seems my game's thread was posted, too! Delightful! Now the countdown begins to when something breaks again~! But for now, we gucci!
Rikifive 3,459 Posted yesterday at 04:19 AM I totally understand the frustration. I am too, tired of these multi-posts and all sorts of other issues. Heck, I'm not even getting notifications when something is posted, that requires approval, due to errors constantly happening in the background. I am often unaware of content waiting for approval, I have to go and look around the tools to find these, and it makes me feel bad when I realize there were things waiting there for a longer while. Unfortunately, I do not own these forums, so migration to another web host is absolutely not up to me. I can only duct tape things on the surface, and keep mailing the owner when things go haywire in the inside. All we can do is to cry about it I guess. I fear, that shutdown is being considered. Well, still no forum upgrade and we're running on an ancient version, but I got rid of that arrow for now.
