Maus Merryjest 17 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) This script is lovely, it is very compatible. Excellent job! The only thing I'm looking for is a fix for the 'dead sprite attacking' issue , but otherwise this is a great script! Wyrelade 15 Posted April 2, 2012 Oh! Jet! Nice to see your working on RPGmVXA too!!.. Love this script! Credits to you, everythings awesome.. Totally gonna use!
P Bevans 7 Posted April 3, 2012 About the dead sprite issue, I PMed Jet sometime yesterday about the issue, don't really know if he will respond. I think the problem has something to do with "updating" or "refreshing" the sprite graphics. Im sort of still new at scripting but I am trying with my limited knowledge to fix it. If anyone has any ideas on a solution, shoot.
Jan Henrik Daniel P. Francisco 0 Posted April 4, 2012 Excellent job, Jet! I'll definitely use this.

Augusto reis 0 Posted April 6, 2012 Jet: I have a problem when the character dies he gets off without messing up or lie on the floor.
oriceles 3 Posted April 6, 2012 1. you can use one of the action battler scripts for that, but considering he has state sprites using "_state", it would be nice if he did the same thing for "_skill" I want this to look like Final Fantasy I, could someone add that option of just wave the weapon over the chara when and moving foward attacking? Kalez 16 Posted April 6, 2012 I want this to look like Final Fantasy I, could someone add that option of just wave the weapon over the chara when and moving foward attacking? use the Animated Battlers. thats what its for.
Shadic 5 Posted April 9, 2012 Hey Jet,I am using this script and this is perfect!!! My spacing is FIELD_POS = [450, 230] FIELD_SPACING = [12, 20] They are a little close,it looks great and four player look great, now all I'm hoping for is animated battlers. Scalinger2 0 Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) I LOVE YOU. I also love Shadic for that set up.. The only script I needed was a simple sbs that required no sprite work. I'm only using one script because last time I was drowned in scripts and sometimes it worked, sometimes I was playing with errors for days on end. Never again! Is there a chance that you can make it show the weapon? Basically what I'm trying to say is that it would do this: *player runs up *item sprite of the current weapon used is displayed on the character while regular attack animation plays *weapon sprite goes away *player goes back to position It would also have to change depending on your option setting of field position and field spacing. Please, if it's not too much to ask? Edited April 10, 2012 by Scalinger2
NutsNWaffles 0 Posted April 11, 2012 (edited) Its nice, but why dont the animations appear on the player? I would really like that fixed. Thanks in advance! Lol, you guys are asking him to take the 'simple' out of Simple Side-View. I would suggest finding another side view battle system, because keep this in mind. The more you want it to do, the harder it is going to be to use. This was made for utmost simplicity and ease of use. That been said, at one time I used 'casting animation' to draw the weapon swing and it worked ok. Simple. Well yes, but just add this. Make animations appear on actors too. Anthrenz 0 Posted April 12, 2012 i like this script. but i think this is not compatible with yanfly's pop-up damage. also i suggest that the weapon sprite/icon should be shown...

Fatories 0 Posted April 15, 2012 Very good script, the only thing I'd have to suggest is what NutsNWaffles has already mentioned and that is animations being shown on the players. Still thanks for the script.
jaggernaut25 11 Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) I just want to say thank you for this. Front-facing battles are so unappealing to me, so when I found this I was reluctant given how new I am. However, I took a chance and decided to test it out, and I am so surprised by how easy it is to use! I love it! also i suggest that the weapon sprite/icon should be shown... This is a really good suggestion! Maybe if it could appear next to the character's hand or something. And if they had a shield and they guarded, it would be cool if the shield appeared. Little touches like that would make this still simple, but even nicer! Edited April 19, 2012 by The Jaggernaut
Joseph Armas 0 Posted April 22, 2012 ok so i think i see where the problem is, but i cant seem to figure out how to fix it :/ Gunna have to wait for Jet to respond. Edit: Also noticed another problem. If you have a state that uses a state sprite and then die, your sprite stays the previous state sprite and not the dead sprite. It seems the priority isnt working for the sprites. Once changed, the sprites wont change again. I'm currently using this system and liking it but I was wondering if anyone found a fix for the death sprite dilemma?

Ok, this has been answered previously but since I have done the exact same thing, here it goes... FIELD_POS = [450, 230] The first number is the X, which the horizontal distance (left to right), the bigger the number the farther Right it is. The second number is Y, which is vertical (up and down), the bigger the number, the farther Down it is, so if the first number is 450, it is 450 pixels to the right and the second is 230, it is 230 down. The spacing should be done to taste. I hope this helps...after writing it, I am not sure if it was needed, lol Edited April 25, 2012 by Juan Alvarado
