Kingdom Hearts: Battle of the Heart [KH:BOTH]

My summer vacation is over and I must go back to school + i have a job. It means that I do not have nearly as much time to do further on the game as before. However, I can tell that I am working on updates to the battle system! So when it is finished I will throw a new video in your face!!!

 

I have a question. Theres that new KH:DDD, what are you going to do now? And not only that, but your game is based Before KD: Decoded. Wont that effect your game? So wouldnt that make it a little confusing to some players?

Obviously, being a spin off game, and not part of the actual canon, expect some plot issues. However Coded was pretty insignificant compared to the grand scheme of things. And nothing he has mentioned so far contradicts with Dream Drop Distance (have beat every KH game to date). But i think, as long as he sticks with the route he is going, it will be fun to see KH on a turn based platform. Especially considering Vanitas has not really been seen since BBS, (although a ghostly image of him is briefly shown in DDD.) So doing a sub-arc with Vanitas is currently completely doable in the KH universe. Although I imagine KH3 will present several plot issues with this specific game lol.

 

Besides, Roxas was my favorite out of all, (mostly because Days was very well done, and had an actual good love interest. 2 times I ever cried on kingdom hearts. Once in two (ya know, that time with Goofy) and then the end of Days.

 

Looks good! KH wiz here, if you need any help as to not contradict plot, hit me up, I have invested entirely too much time learning all the intricate details of Kingdom Hearts.

I don't have the time to work on the game itself, but if you ever need questions about the overall plot or any details cleared up, I've got just about every detail of every single game (except Dream Drop Distance, I don't have a 3DS, but I watched enough of an LP to have a general idea of the plot and ending and can answer very basic questions on it) memorized, and I own every single game except for DDD, so if its a detail I don't have available off the top of my head, I can always double check very quickly.

 

Then again, I am trying to learn more on how to use Irfanview and Paint.NET, so if you need palette work done or some very basic tile editing, I might be able to pull something together for you. I'm not much of an artist, so don't ask for new tiles.

It cannot go against the canon since Mickey and the others were dealing with the "data bug" problem. ANYTHING could've happened during that time. Also, EVERY Kingdom Hearts game released has been canon. Everyone stop dismissing KH Coded.

So far in the series, no, it cannot really break canon. However utilizing Vanitas could create plot issues, but we would not even know what those issues would be until KH3 (in what, 2025?!) But honestly, I do not even know why I am writing this comment... it is sorta pointless, I think i just geek out a little bit when KH is brought up. Lookin' good though!

I don't know yet i wanna make the whole first Worlds story done, before I'll make a demo. Maybe i Will make a "beta demo" with the fight system and stuff Like that

Thanks man mooshra will be glad to here that. I also fixed the broken image so now there are all four sprite sheets.

You are doing awesome me and my friend mooshra have started our own game thanks to you giving us hope that a KH game can be made on RPG maker and still look good.

Its a next gen game featuring sora's son T.K. Axel's mysterious son Rexel and Leon from FF8 son Leo with new keyblades new story and new everything and its all thanks to you my freind giving us hope. We still haven't got the system done right but we got the story pretty much covered.

Same here we are thinking of doing of using the XAS battle system since its the closest to the Kingdom Hearts system but all the custom garphics all working of the scripts will be mega hard and we are pressed on time because of Sats and ACts our selves so good luck to all of us.

Well I am sure the graphics are still in the early stages. But still I can't wait to see this come out later and maybe me and mooshra can be a major Graphical help with mooshra's graphical editing skills getting always better and better. I would love to contribute more to this than just a logo. that I did for the begging part of the post.

I usually never take interest in fan-made games, though I have to admit; your version of Destiny Islands looks incredible.

I'm not so sure on the Sora sprite, however. It looks a little off in contrast to the maps, in my opinion.

Also, the "Dive Into The Heart" maps look awesome, but the initial columns for them don't seem to look that nice.

The title looks absolutely beautiful, though!
