Screenshots and Mapping Guidelines

 

Purpose Of This Area:

This forum is for map discussions and critiques. You may also donate a set of maps you created for others to use, if you would like -- check out the Map Distro Center subforum for further details.

 

Here you should:

• Post maps for critique in the Screenshot Topic or by creating your own topic (if you have 3 or more maps)
• Discuss aesthetics like map lighting and color palettes
• Talk about creating depth in your map and ways to improve your mapping abilities
• Discuss symbolism and design in your mapping

 

Using the Screenshot Thread versus a new topic:

If you have 1 or 2 screenshots to show off at any given time, please post those in the screenshot thread. Remember to follow the rules for this thread. However, if you have a series of maps (3 or more) that you would like to discuss and have critiqued at once, it is permissible to create your topic in this forum for that purpose.

 

Bumping
You may bump a topic only if you're contributing a significant update.
 

Necroposting: You can't reply to a topic after 4 months unless

• You're adding something new to the topic and
• The reply is a detailed and on-topic response.
